Installation instructions:
1- Copy the “ShiinaMahoNoHimitsu_Data” folder to the folder where Shiina Maho no Himitsu is installed.
There should be another “ShiinaMahoNoHimitsu_Data” folder there.
2- Replace the files
3- Enjoy
Please be aware that this patch only translates the text files of the VN. That means that the menus are still untranslated, since they are made of image files.
I couldn’t find an optimal way of replacing the images without breaking everything. So I think it would be easier (at least for the time being) for both me and the reader to leave the menus untranslated and to add some images to the patch folder that will work as a walkthrough in case you need to configure something.
The title screen and the main options are already in English so you shouldn’t have a problem navigating through the game.
The config menu has very few options (and some of them do nothing), so I hope you can enjoy reading the VN from start to finish without needing to use it more than once or twice with the help to the attached pics, and then forget about it.
Still, I understand this might be an inconvenience, so I apologize.

I’ll try to update the patch as soon as I can to fix anything I overlooked.
Translating a VN was an exciting and exhausting experience. I’d like to think of this as my way of repaying the universe for all the fan translations I’ve enjoyed throughout the years. It’s not much, but I hope more people get to enjoy this VN as much as I did.
As of right now, I don’t plan on translating more VNs and this page will only exist so it’s easier for people to find the patch and to report errors or anything like that.
Maybe if the stars align in the future, I’ll work on some untranslated kamige.

I’m stuck on the WARNING screen whatever I do. I tried in JP, 1.0 and 1.01, with or without the EN Patch, with JP unicode and so, nothing work. What am I missing ?

I’ve installed and re-installed the VN a few times and this has never happened to me, so I don’t really know how to help you.
Check that your system locale is set to japanese and try re-installing the game.LikeLike
